Telecom Equipment Installation

MYD is engaged in the supply and installation of highly complex telecom site equipment. Backed by over a decade of experience, we ensure that the smallest of components are installed exactly as per the specifications laid down by the OEMs as well as our client.

Our engineering and installation teams are highly trained and adept at using state-of-the-art telecom equipment and adhere to the stipulated standards of safety and compliance. We also have the required technical tools to ensure that the equipment is installed and functioning perfectly.

Our teams are equipped with precision testing gear to verify performance, identify faults, and overcome potential pitfalls. We use high quality fusion splicing machines for optical fiber splicing and high quality OTDR for testing.

BTS & Telecom Installation

Our attention to detail ensures each antenna and line installation is performed properly and in accordance with customer and manufacturer specifications.
  • BTS Installation & Commissioning:
    BTS Installation activities are carried out according to site specific installation plan and includes:

    • Installation and termination of radio feeder cables, antennas and grounding kits
    • Installation of BTS (or extension rack), plug-in units and all internal cables
    • Installation of transmission cable, power cable and power system, Grounding cable and alarm cable for BTS
    • Load BTS software and set up needed parameters
  • BTS Integration:
    We support in the integration according to Telecom Equipment manufacturer integration procedures and quality documentation. Integration is directed to:

    • Integrate the BTS to System Module
    • General check up of software package.
    • Test calls
    • Test external alarms and do any other required tests by the Operator
    • Realignment of antennas during optimization
  • Transmission Implementation:
    In order for communication between the BTS and the System Module, there is a requirement for Microwave (MW) Installations as a transmission medium. Following activities are carried out by us to implement microwaves:

    • Installation of MW antenna and outdoor unit
    • Installation of indoor unit modem & MW feeder
    • Commissioning of MW link and Alignment of antennas to obtain surveyed receive level
    • Integration of MW link
  • Quality Control:
    We perform quality audits(ATP) and inspections in order to ensure the Implementation for every site. Works are delivered in accordance with the quality standards laid down by the clients. We also follow-up and the monitor the corrective actions based on the findings of the quality audits.After finished ATP and accepted by the clients, Our TI process is completed.

Technical Site Survey

The Technical Site Survey is designed to provide a document listing telecommunications equipment and bandwidth available in the building. The data that is typically collected in the site survey includes all relevant information about the existing telecommunications infrastructure in and on the building.
This includes:
  • Current Telecommunications Service Providers in the building (Copper, Fiber & Other Cables).
  • Entrance facilities of located building.
  • Telecommunication infrastructure capacity in the building (Copper, Fiber & Other Cables).
  • Equipment in the main telecom room (Smart jacks, 66 blocks, routers, multiplexers).
  • Status of rooftop access rights.
  • Existing satellite and wireless dishes (bands) and antennas on the rooftop including frequencies and service providers.
  • Location and capacity of telecom rooftop tower.
  • Existing wire for local area network and long-distance network.
  • Standardization of building.

RF Optimization

MYD offers RF Optimization Services for existing/new GSM and CDMA network operators. This service is performed as a continuous RF engineering activity for preventive maintenance. It ensures optimum network performance to meet the Quality of Service (QoS) targets of the customer.
Quality of Service (QOS) targets as per the Operators’ specifications:
This includes:
  • Coverage of Service Area: Urban, Suburban, Roads or the Rural areas

Installation & Commissioning of BTS Equipment

Scope of Work:
This includes:
  • Receipt of site information from customer along with TND/RND
  • RFI check along with ensuring the site permissions
  • Material reception at the sites and checking as per packing list. Intimate to the customer in case of any deficiency
  • Hoisting of GSM/CDMA antennas on tower as per TND/RND
  • Clamping and routing of RF cables from Shelter to Antennae
  • Grounding the Antennae and RF cables at appropriate place
  • Ensuring drip loop/Z loop at cable entry plate
  • Ensuring no sharp bend on RF cables
  • Fixing OGB
  • Weather proofing
  • Fixing EMPs/Surge arrestors along with connectorization in shelter
  • Grouting the BTS
  • Extending, power cables, E1 cables, grounding cables to BTS
  • Fixing IGB and extending grounding to all peripheral equipment
  • Fixing DDF
  • Installation of Battery bank and rectifier
  • Installation of internal cable try
  • Installation of indoor jumpers
  • Checking VSWR
  • Switching on the equipment
  • Commissioning the equipment as per defined procedure
